After 36 and a half years, our esteemed Food & Beverage Manager Peter Harbrow, will work his last day on 22 February.

Peter started as a Casual in the Lone Pine Restaurant, before commencing his full time role in the Bottleshop which at the time also sold videos and clothing items. Peter’s attention to detail and leadership qualities were evident from the outset and within 12 months he was undertaking a Traineeship in Management.

Three years later Peter was appointed Food and Beverage Manager. He credits his involvement in the Lone Pine Restaurant as pivotal in his career pathway. “It was a magnificent step into the industry – the Lone Pine was an a la carte, premium restaurant and I gained experience in all areas of food and beverage service.”

In his time Peter has witnessed many changes in the Club, with the new gaming room and facility upgrade of 2019 one of the highlights. He believes the Club has reaped the benefits of being responsive to customer needs and servicing the local and visiting demographic.

Peter speaks with great fondness of the staff he has worked with over the years and in particular those that he has worked alongside in the catering office. He has a wealth of knowledge that he generously has passed on to all those around him; a passion for the hospitality industry and seemingly endless energy.

Those who have worked with him closely will particularly miss Peter’s attention to detail and the support he gives to staff. His work ethic has been a great example for all.

The Club extends their thanks to Peter's wife Chris and his family for their understanding and support over the years. We know Peter is looking forward to spending more time with his grandchildren. Dubbed the Codfather by ClubMulwala CEO Alan Rowe, we hope you enjoy more time on the water now - be warned all the Murray cod out there!

Pete, you will be sorely missed around the Club. We wish to thank you for your dedication, your professionalism and effort. Best wishes for your retirement!
